The adventures of Fe & Chris

Submarines and bridges

We’re in Sydney. It rained today so we went to the Maritime museum. A replica of Cook’s Endeavour is here and a diesel-electric submarine too. The Harbour Bridge is nice, but not a patch on our bridge (above). The Opera house is a little more yellow than I thought, but nice all the same.

We thought the opera house was a bit dirty as well, it looks better when the sun comes out. Bridge is just a glorified Tyne Bridge and is indeed not as good as the FB.

We went on the same replica of Cook’s Endeavour in Boston Harbour in 1998, look at the book but don’t buy it because we have got it. I remember it was a bit tricky working out how to get down the ladders, but we made it! It’s considerably more interesting than the Capt. Cook Museum in Whitby.

Does it always rain in Sydney? Would recommend the aquarium for another rainy day but go late afternoon evening and miss the school parties. A boat trip to Manly beach is well worth it when the sun comes out! Enjoy…
