New adventures in Flip-flops

After suffering some mild abrasion by my fins, coupled with sandal wear and insect bites, I have been forced to abandon my trusty posh Merrell sandals in favour of a pair of flip-flops. I have always spurned such footware in the past as I endured negative experiences as a juvenile.

They cost me 75 Lempiras (Two pounds). I´ll let you know how I get on.

Yes, I remember those flip flops - they were red and I had yellow ones (strangely those were the same colours as our childhood cups - do you think M&D had a plan?). Watch out for blisters between your big and 2nd toe - if you were in the UK you could buy special shaped plasters for this very ailment

The only flip flops I remember buying were for Star Island and we had some too. Did Lorna, or were her feet too little? Star had a sandy stoney beach and we were advised to get them, and for those who don’t know it’s off the coast of New Hampshire.

Tsk, tsk, “Did Lorna..” what? I can’t even rely on my mother to get her grammar right! Did Lorna have any flip flops? I’ve no idea, but they’re not good for a two year olds feet anyway, so professionally I hope not.

How on earth should I know if I had flip flops on Star Island!
I was 2!
Do you honestly think I’d remember?
And even if I did remember, you would tell me I was remembering it wrong anyway.

Flips-flops working out nicely after some moderately painful breaking in of my toes. I figured half the world can’t be wrong so perserviered. I still have to half a break from them occasional, but am finding them very liberating.
