My Goretex is mouldy

After two months in the cloud forest my North Face Goretex jacket has gone mouldy on the inside. I have tried washing it in travel soap and a hot shower, but it didnĀ“t help.

Can anyone suggest a suitable treatment, please?

Well if you were here - probably Dettol Mould and Mildew spray would do the trick - but you are far away!

Turn it inside out, and put it in the sunshine, but anchor it down so it doesn’t blow away.

Goretex is pretty tough stuff. The bit you need to worry about is the outer fabric and its silicon. So I would not be too bothered with what evil chems you use on it (OK not bleach) but after you need to rinse it thrice and then retreat the outer (ideally with proper gore product followed by a tumble dry - which I am sure are common). In reality I thin the inside out option is a goer

try washing it in vinegar and then sleeping with a key under your pillow. I tried this on mine and okay it didn’t work, maybe it was the wrong type of key.
